Several MEPs expressed support to Ilan SHOR after his visit to Strasbourg. A member of the European Parliament, Austrian representative Barbara Kappel, highly praised the visit of Mayor of Orhei and the leader of the SHOR Party in Strasbourg.
“In the last plenary week we had the opportunity to welcome Mr. Ilan SHOR from Moldova, the mayor of Orhei and the president of the SHOR Party,” – wrote Barbara Kappel on her social network page. She specifically pointed that Ilan SHOR was invited by different political groups and EU member states to “present his position and plans for the future of his party.”
Barbara Kappel, representative of the political group „Europe of Nations and Freedom” from the European Parliament expressed unequivocal support for Ilan SHOR’s activities, political project and plans. “The desire expressed by him (Ilan SHOR) in shaping the future of the Republic of Moldova and thus in the approach of the European community is very welcome” – wrote the Austrian deputy.
She also sincerely wished a lot of success to Ilan SHOR. The Italian MEP Aldo Patriciello, the representative of the European People’s Party, the most influential political group of the European Parliament, also published in the social networks a short and emotional report on the meeting with Ilan SHOR.

Another member of the European Parliament, Italian deputy Alberto Cirio, published a photo of his working breakfast with EU agriculture commissioner Phil Hogan on his page, at which Ilan SHOR was present as well.
The Mayor of Orhei and the leader of the SHOR Party, at the invitation of a group of MEPs, visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg on October 4th. Meetings with more than 20 MEPs and the European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Develomnet were held during this day.Ilan SHOR discussed the issues related to the restrictions on his civil rights, the social and infrastructure projects he implemented in Orhei, the prospects for the cooperation of the SHOR Party with the European political forces, as well as the development plans of the Republic of Moldova and its European future.
