The MEP Fulvio Martusciello, Member of the European People’s Party, was extremely indignant about the negative response of the courts regarding the visit to Brussels of the political leader, Mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR.
The Deputy expressed disappointment with a message posted on his official page, stating the following:
“I am extremely sad and disappointed with the situation created around Ilan Shor – the President of the Political Party “Shor” and the Mayor of the Moldovan town Orhei! Moreover I am extremely outraged to get the news and the official answer from Moldova that Ilan Shor cannot visit Brussels at my invitation because his lawyers haven’t got the positive answer with this regards from the Moldovan court!”
At the same time, the European deputy, Fulvio Martusciello, refers to the fact that this incorrect decision of the Moldovan courts does not fit into the European democratic norms and hinders the activity of the political leader and the whole party.
“This prevents the leader and the whole Political Party from the normal way of it’s activity, development and cannot be considered as a democratic norm!” mentioned the MEP, Fulvio Martusciello.
Moreover, in the message addressed, the European deputy intends to visit the Republic of Moldova very soon, personally, to have a detailed discussion with the political leader, Mayor of Orhei, Ilan SHOR, regarding the constraints to which he is subjected and the limitation in actions of the President of “SHOR” Party.
“I am planning to visit Moldova and personally Ilan Shor very soon! We have to understand what is going on there….” mentioned the MEP
We would like to remind you that Ilan SOR was invited by MEPs fro the period of 10th and 13th July this year to make a working visit to the European Parliament in Brussels where issues will be discussed with reference to his case but also the activities promoted as a political leader, the political situation in our country, as well as other subjects of European cooperation.
