Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, met today, 16 August 2016, with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Ahmad Al-Hamadi.

The two officials had an exchange of views about the current stage and the perspectives of development of the bilateral relations in the context of the 20^th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, marked this year. The interlocutors underlined the need for strengthening the political dialogue, boosting trade and economic cooperation, promoting dialogue in the social and cultural fields, as well as the bilateral legal framework. The parties also discussed the developments in the Gulf region.

Deputy Minister Darii welcomed the decision of the Qatari authorities to allow citizens of the Republic of Moldova to enter the State of Qatar with a visa obtained upon arrival at Doha airport.
