Cristina Balan has presented the accreditation letters as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova to the United States to Deputy Chief of Protocol at the U.S. Department of State Katherine Henderson. Attending the meeting was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia at the U.S. Department of State Jorgan Andrews, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.  

During discussions, the officials tackled subjects on the present stage and prospects for development of the Moldovan-American bilateral relations. The sides reconfirmed the joint commitment to deepen the Moldova – USA Strategic Dialogue and the cooperation in all sectors.

Moldova’s ambassador agree unveiled the actions planned for the next period in the cooperation with the USA. Balan assured the Department of State of her every determination, as well as of Moldova’s Embassy in Washington to contribute to the boosting of the Moldovan-American relations, voicing hope for a good cooperation with the U.S. Administration.

Katherine Henderson and Jorgan Andrews wished success to the Ambassador Agree Cristina Balan in exercising her mandate and assured her of the American side’s every support to achieve the goals aimed at strengthening the bilateral cooperation.
