“The election is not done at home, but at the ballot boxes,” said Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, today, after expressing his right to vote in Chisinau municipality, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Andrian Candu called on people to vote and elect mayor of Chisinau municipality. He said that he personally voted for a candidate which would be able to bring back fame of former capital, a clean, beautiful, modern and European city.

The armchair of Mayor has remained vacant after former mayor resigned on 16 February. There are expected over 630,000 voters in polls in Chisinau municipality. For elections to be considered valid, at least 25 per cent of number of persons on electoral list must exercise their right to vote.
