Moldovan parliament appoints new top court judge

The parliament today appointed Elena Cobzac as judge at the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ).

According to the MPs’ decision, Elena Cobzac will act at CSJ till reaching the age limit of 65 years.

The candidacy of Elena Cobzac, who so far has worked as judge at the Chisinau-based Court of Appeal, was put forward for the position of CSJ judge by the Superior Council of Magistracy, as the only candidate running in the contest.

Elena Cobzac has been working in justice since 1996 and, during years, she held offices at the law court of the Rascani district of Chisinau and Court of Appeal of Chisinau.
