The representatives of the First Lady Galina Dodon charity fund “Din Suflet” summed up the activities of the last year, and voiced the priorities for the coming year. 

According to Rita Manole, member of the Council of the Foundation, in 2017, the organization received tens of thousands of complaints from citizens. Assistance was received by about 75,000 citizens through various projects. Among them is the project to help the kindergartens of our country.

“It is about current repairs and equipping of preschool institutions in the country. Last year, we initiated the assistance to 200 kindergartens. The works are finished in most of them,” Rita Manole reminded.

Also last year, the First Lady’s Charity Fund “Din suflet” initiated a project to promote a healthy lifestyle. It provides for the construction of sports facilities throughout the country, mainly in rural areas.

“Each sports complex includes a football field, playgrounds for basketball, volleyball, tennis, gymnastics and fitness equipment, playgrounds and recreational facilities for adults. The works were started in 10 largest villages,” Manole said.

In addition, the Foundation helped prepare more than 8,000 children from socially vulnerable, large and single-parent families for the school year, giving them backpacks with the necessary supplies. Assistance was also provided to the elderly, talented youth, large families, as well as to citizens with health problems.
