Prime Minister Pavel Filip today attended the opening of the first multi-functional centre of the Public Services Agency (ASP) from Moldova. The creation of this centre is aimed to reduce bureaucracy and in this way, citizens have access to more qualitative services provided at optimal prices and in a short time, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
“I am happy to participate in this event, not only because this is the first multi-functional centre from Moldova, but also because it is opened here, in Straseni, my native district. We plan, during half a year, to have such centres in each district of Moldova,” Pavel Filip said.
The multi-functional centre will provide public services earlier offered by five state enterprises: state enterprise CRIS Registru, state enterprise State Registration Chamber, state enterprise Cadastru, Registrar’s Office and Licencing Chamber.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip noted that the opening of the single window for providing public services was part of the central public administration reform, implemented by the government. The goal of this reform is to depoliticize the state institutions and get them closer to citizens.
“In the next stage, and we discuss this just now at the government, we will approve a draft which sees that, in the long run, the multi-functional centres will also provide services to those willing to register political parties, religious cults or non-governmental organizations. Afterwards, we are to eventually get to the situation when all services offered by the state are provided in such centres. Our final goal is that the public services be as close to the citizens as possible and provide them at each mayoralty,” Pavel Filip said.
The prime minister said that, following the simplification of the procedures of acts’ issuance, a cut in the number of documents the citizen needs in his/her relation with the state comes next. The only act will be the identity card. The rest of the information will be found in the state registers.
In the next six months, another 34 multi-functional centres will be opened in all Moldova’s districts.
