President Igor Dodon has conveyed a congratulatory message to his Romanian counterpart, Klaus Werner Iohannis, the presidential press service has reported.

The message reads:

“Dear Mr. President,

It is a great pleasure to address you, on behalf of the Moldovan people and on my own behalf, the most sincere and cordial congratulations on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, and wishes of peace and prosperity for the Romanian people.

I take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the constructive traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Moldova and Romania, based on principles of partnership and mutual support. At the same time, I would like to thank you for your support for Moldova.

I am firmly convinced that we will continue to maintain an active political dialogue in the future, and the existing friendship and collaboration relations between our countries will further develop and consolidate in many sectors for the benefit of both states.

Wishing you beautiful achievements in your work of great responsibility, please accept the assurance of my highest consideration”.
