The Centre for Legal Information at the Justice Ministry will be reorganized into the Information and Legal Systems Agency. Secretary General of the Justice Ministry Anatolie Munteanu made statements to this effect at a news conference today.
According to Munteanu, the newly created structure will have the task to develop an integrated system of legal informing and to manage the inter-operability of the information systems from the sector. “At the same time, the structure will have the task to apply the apostille, legalize official acts and provide information services,” the Justice Ministry official noted.
Also, the agency will deal with the record and systematization of laws, ordinances, instructions, presidential decrees, decisions of the parliament and Constitutional Court, other similar acts. “The agency will also be in charge of the development and updating of the state register of laws: www.legis.md and www.lex.justice.md, as well as of the register of probate cases and wills, e-procura (e-proxy), apostilles, register of justice system’s related professions,” Anatolie Munteanu added.
The Information and Legal Systems Agency will be led by a director appointed and dismissed from office by the justice minister.
