Prime Minister Pavel Filip will take part in the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly that will take place in New York during September 19 – 22, IPN reports, with reference to the Government’s press service.

In the debates session, Pavel Filip will give a speech in the name of the Republic of Moldova. On the sidelines of the session of the UN General Assembly, the Premier will have a series of bilateral meetings with heads of state and government, with U.S. and EU officials and representatives of the United Nations. The discussions will center on the possibilities of intensifying the bilateral diplomatic and cooperation relations in areas of common interest.

The Republic of Moldova became a member of the UN on March 2, 1992.
