Chairman of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu seems finally took seriously the words of the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon that the Minister of Environment Valeriu Munteanu would not get the post of defense minister, with all the authorities’ pressure on the President.
“Once the Constitutional Court has decided that the President of the Republic of Moldova may reject the candidature of the Liberal Party for the post of minister of defense only once, Igor Dodon said that Valery Munteanu would return to where he came from. To release a decree on the appointment, you must first sign a decree on the dismissal of the Minister of the Environment, and we do not want to lose Valeriu Munteanu as a minister. We will have another candidate,”- Ghimpu said in a broadcast of public television.
Earlier, commenting the possible appointment of a liberal, the current Minister of the Environment Valeriu Munteanu for the post of defense minister, the Head of State said he would not change the “flea”. Igor Dodon has assured that he would do everything possible a true professional, a person willing to work for the benefit of the National Army of the Republic of Moldova takes that position.
