The Constitutional Court is to make public its judgment on the results of the presidential elections at 4pm on December 13. Before doing so, the Court is to examine a challenge submitted by representatives of the electoral competitor Maia Sandu, IPN reports.

Sergiu Litvinenko, Maia Sandu’s representative, said the decision to state the commission of electoral violations and acts of fraud can be also taken by the Constitutional Court, not only by the common law courts.

The constitutional judges accepted the challenge for examination, but the Court’s president Alexandru Tanase noted the Party “Action and Solidarity” could have submitted it earlier.

Socialist MP Vladimir Turcan, who represents President-elect Igor Dodon, said the evidence provided by the electoral opponent’s representative cannot lead to the annulment of the results of the presidential runoff and asked that the elections should be validated.
