The joint candidate of the center-right opposition Maia Sandu voted for the wonderful people of this country whom she discovered during the last few weeks and by whom she was very impressed. The candidate called on the people who haven’t yet voted to be vigilant so that their vote is not stolen, IPN reports.

“I voted for people who believe in correctness, truth, honest work, education and common sense,” stated Maia Sandu.

As to the voter turnout among the Moldovans abroad, the politician said the people really mobilized there and this is an unprecedented phenomenon.

The candidate also said that if acts of electoral fraud are witnessed today, serious measures will be taken to combat them. “I count on the vigilance of those who go to vote and on the vigilance of the observers. If the elections are fair, we will win,” stated Maia Sandu.
