The candidate for President of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon came to the polling place accompanied by his wife and his youngest son. He told the press that it could be the first round of elections today and called upon the people to vote actively, IPN reports.

“It will be a new start. I voted against those who were in power during the last seven years. I voted against oligarchy and those who destroyed the banking system and the country and humiliated the people,” said Igor Dodon.

The politician also said that he came to vote in the hope that we will have a better life and is firmly convinced that most of the people vote with the same hope. “I voted for a prosperous Moldova where the children have a nice future, while our parents feel that the state needs them,” he stated

Asked by the journalists what kind of President he wants, Igor Dodon said he wants a President of all the people.
